The trial
Premium starts with 10,000 characters free for 7 days, from the first time you sign in. It ends at whichever limit comes first, and signing in again doesn’t restart it.
The trial doesn’t turn into a paid subscription, and it needs no card. Device voices stay free after it ends.
Characters
Characters count the text a Premium voice reads, including spaces and punctuation. ReadHalo prepares audio a little ahead of the sentence you’re hearing, so characters don’t measure listening time. A request that fails after it starts may still count.
Replaying audio you’ve already heard doesn’t use more characters while your access lasts. A different voice or speed, clearing saved audio, or saved audio that has expired is made again and uses characters.
Premium belongs to your account, on every device you sign in to. Subscribing on the web and through Apple at the same time doesn’t double the allowance or reset it. Unused characters don’t roll over. Your account page shows what’s left and when your access ends.
Billing
Razorpay bills subscriptions made on the web, and Apple bills purchases made in the iPhone app. Manage renewals and refunds with whoever billed you, and don’t buy a second subscription if you already have Premium. Apple shows the price for your country when you buy.
Premium starts once the payment is confirmed, not when you return from checkout. ReadHalo is a digital service; nothing is shipped.
